The clam cleat is a small metal bar that you commonly find in most djembe pulling tables or rope tensioning tools.
It's a has teeth in a V shape that grip the rope and hold it, while the two holes allow for the cleat to be bolted to a surface. It's originally a sailing device that's been adopted by djembe builders because it's extremely useful.
Use one as part of a larger djembe tightening device, either a djembe pulling bar or pulling table.
